The New York Jets might soon become a true family affair. Giovanni Williams, younger brother of All-Pro Jets defenders Quincy and Quinnen Williams, is attending the team’s rookie minicamp this weekend as a tryout player.

“It’s a beautiful story,” said head coach Aaron Glenn. “Three brothers suiting up for the same team? That’s rare.” Giovanni, a linebacker like Quincy, leaned on his brothers for advice: “Quinnen told me, ‘Be yourself,’ and Quincy said, ‘Control your mind, control your body.’”

A Miles College alum and former Texas A&M-Kingsville transfer, Giovanni helped lead Miles to a 2024 SIAC championship. Once 350 pounds in high school, he’s reshaped himself into a 222-pound linebacker, blending Quinnen’s build with Quincy’s speed.

He’s one of 12 tryout players hoping to earn a contract by Sunday. “All I can do is show up, work, and be coachable,” Giovanni said. “Being on the team with my brothers—it would be historic.”

All three Williams brothers played at Wenonah High School in Alabama. Now, Giovanni’s chasing a rare NFL sibling trifecta in green and white.
